How to Measure the Success of a Business Podcast

Cyber Made Human Wrapped 2025 | Measuring the Success of a Business Podcast

by | Dec 22, 2025

2025 has been a fantastic year for Cyber Made Human. Since launching Series Two in April, we have produced ten episodes, with three of those featuring live audiences at Ocho Cotswolds, welcomed both new and returning guests and covered a host of groundbreaking topics, from Quantum Encryption to the use of AI chatbots in therapy. Overall, this series has provided us with valuable metrics on how to measure the success of a business podcast.

As a strategic digital marketing agency, we help clients build brand awareness, generate leads and ultimately grow their business.

A big part of that work is consulting on and producing business podcasts.

Cyber Made Human is different. It’s our own show.

A live testing ground where we can experiment with new formats, trial live events and push into platforms like TikTok. That means we’re not theorising. We’re learning in real time and applying those insights directly to our client work.

The aim of Cyber Made Human is twofold. First, to challenge the cyber and tech industry to communicate better: to move beyond fear-driven messaging and jargon, and start explaining complex topics in a way people actually understand.

Second, to prove what good communication looks like in practice. The show is a working demonstration of how complex, technical ideas can be turned into compelling content that builds trust, grows audiences and, ultimately, drives demand for our digital marketing services.

So here is a breakdown of our top stats from across the year.

Growing the Channel

This year has seen rapid growth for The Cyber Made Human Podcast. This was especially apparent on our Spotify channel. We host our show here and then distribute it across our various other platforms, such as Amazon Music

Here’s a look at the figures:

  • 999% new audience increase
  • 162% follower increase
  • 80% more views than in 2024
  • 75% higher rating than other shows
  • Shared 89% more than other shows
  • Top 30% of videos viewed on Spotify
  • The number one show for 60 fans

Our YouTube platform, where we nativly host our show, also received some incredible stats, which reflect our show’s growing popularity.

Some of our top stats include:

  • 4,100 average monthly viewers
  • 99.5% of the audience were first-time viewers
  • 2,900 total hours of watch time
  • 76% increase in subscribers
  • 265,700 total search impressions
  • 424% increase in likes
  • 124% viewer increase
  • 315 total subscribers

In total, we reached 56,000 listeners across all platforms this year, a significant increase on last year and a clear sign of the momentum built throughout 2025. A major driver of this growth has been YouTube Shorts.

By publishing short, high-impact clips from the podcast, we’ve dramatically increased our discoverability.

Shorts are surfaced far beyond an existing subscriber base, allowing the show to reach new, highly relevant audiences who would never have found the full episodes alone.

On social media sites like TikTok, Shorts, LinkedIn and Instagram, our video views totalled 160,144.

Our Most Popular Episode

Interestingly, our most popular episode varied across our primary platforms.

In this episode, Alice and Reid discuss untold stories from Signals Intelligence, from the development of computers to codebreaking in WW2, and what this means for the future.

For YouTube, our top episode was: AI Ethics, Silicon Valley Culture & Startups

In this episode, Mark Adams joins Alice to discuss responsible AI, startup resilience, and the deep cultural divide between the US and UK tech scenes.

Going Global

Over the past year, Cyber Made Human has expanded its global reach and international audience.

Our top locations included:

1. United Kingdom
2. Australia
3. United States
4. Germany
5. New Zealand

What We Didn’t Expect!

While reviewing Cyber Made Humans’ performance this year, we uncovered a few unexpected insights.

Here are some stats we weren’t expecting:

  • 46.2% of viewers watched the show on TV instead of mobile or desktop.
  • On YouTube, our viewer base was predominantly male (87.8%).
  • However, on Spotify, the majority was female (50.4%).
  • 43.7% of our audience was aged 25–34.

Our most popular platforms after Spotify and YouTube included:

  • Our episodes were most watched on Friday afternoon between 4:00 pm and 9:00 pm.

Sponsor Cyber Made Human in 2026

As Cyber Made Human continues to grow, sponsorship in 2026 is about far more than brand visibility; it’s about strategic alignment with a proven business podcast that delivers real performance insights.

We are seeking two long-term partners who can commit to £1,250 + VAT per episode, enabling us to sustain high-quality production, expand our live events programme and continue taking the show onto established industry stages such as The Podcast Show and Gloucestershire Tech Week.

This financial backing allows the podcast to remain credible, ambitious and professionally produced, while giving sponsors consistent exposure to a highly engaged, global audience across cyber, tech and business.

For organisations asking “Is a business podcast valuable?”, our growth, reach and real-world impact provide a clear answer, and sponsorship offers a front-row seat.

We expect to post ten episodes in 2026, with a £15,000 VAT-per-sponsor investment. Email Alice directly at info@alicevioletcreative.com to partner with us.
